Originally from Chile, Ms. Díaz-Iturriaga moved to Washington, DC, in 2023 to start a PhD in (Applied) Linguistics at Georgetown under the advisement of Dr. Lara Bryfonski. Before that, she was an English as a Foreign Language (EFL) Teacher for ten years both in Chile and abroad. Evelyn is a passionate teacher who has gained experience working in diverse teaching contexts. Her research interests include instructed second language acquisition, language teacher education, and task-based language teaching and learning.
